Growing with Gourds 2010

Begining our eleventh year with Growing with gourds, our integrated Art/Humanities/Science Project, students were treated to a visit from local Gourd Artist Mitzi Davis Crapps. Students integrated their study of The Ancient Cultures of the Myans, Incas and Aztecs,with traditional symbols and those from a campus nature walk. The results were fabulous painted gourds and fantastic creative writing pieces. Seeds were also collected to be planted in the gourd garden for future classes.
