Students in Heathwood’s Lower School and Early Childhood Learning Center hosted their grandparents and special friends on campus October 16, 2015.
More than 400 grandparents and friends filled the Dining Commons for a special program featuring songs from the Upper School Acapella ensemble and from children in each grade ranging from EC3s to 4th grade. Students then walked with their grandparents and other visitors to their classrooms to enjoy refreshments, view student artwork, and meet and mingle with teachers, classmates, and their families.
This year’s Grandparents Day program featured artwork by 4th grade student Chacey Cox that was inspired by Heathwood’s school colors and the beauty of our natural environment and loving community. Grandparents’ Day is a special day, Chacey said, because “We love Heathwood and love sharing it with our grandparents.”
