Heathwood Auction 2002 |
| Columbia decked out in its finest on Friday, March 15 for Heathwood Hall's Annual Auction, held this year inside the Moore Building at the SC State Fairgrounds. The black-tie school fundraiser features delicious food and drink, and a slew of exciting items up for bid in silent, "Super Silent" and live auctions. Headmaster Steve Hickman and auction chairperson Clara Weston (above) highlighted the evening by announcing two exciting events in the School's life: the ongoing 50th Anniversary celebration and beginning construction of a new intermediate/middle school building (see separate link on "Highlights" web page). Thanks to the hard work of dozens of auction staff and volunteers -- and the generosity of area vendors and sponsors -- the auction again raised much-needed funds that will benefit Heathwood students now and in the future.
