Fine Arts Festival 2003

On Friday, April 4, all Heathwood Hall students participated in the Spring 2003 Fine Arts Festival. The festival was directed by Chair of Fine Arts Melissa Swick and organized by the Fine Arts faculty, including Hartley Barber, Barbara Bryan, Ashley Herring, Robert Horak, Kelley Neeley, Jennifer Sadler, Clare Scurry, and Tamra Stephenson. The entire school began the day with a West African drums and dance performance by the group Djoliba Don. Students also experienced a number of other interesting arts offerings, all before lunchtime! Individual sites across the campus highlighted USC jazz, glassblowing, a scene from a local theatre production, a presentation by renowned artist Christian Thee, a performance by the Columbia College chorus, photography and filmmaking, various forms of visual art, storytelling, and dance.
