| Heathwood Hall's varsity football team won their first-ever SCISA Class AAA State Championship with a gutsy 7-0 victory over previously unbeaten Wilson Hall. Played November 16 at Calhoun Academy in St. Matthews, the game highlighted two stout defensives, remaining scoreless until the Highlander's Warren Fair dove into the endzone at the 4:32 mark in the fourth quarter. From there, the Heathwood defense and special teams took over, blocking a Barons field goal attempt and stuffing Wilson Hall's potent offense to seal the victory. |
