School Building

| Two celebrations and a long weekend of heavy lifting marked the opening of Heathwood Hall's new Intermediate/Middle School building in January. First, members of the Middle School student leadership council led a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday,January 17, an event followed immediately by an afternoon Open House for parents and alumni. Later that weekend, teachers and administrators moved books and furniture into the new facility, setting up offices and classrooms for the first full day of classes on January 21. On January 28, Bishop Dorsey F. Henderson, Jr. joined an enthusiastic group of students, faculty, parents, trustees, supporters and friends for the Dedication and Consecration of the new building. Each room received a special prayer and blessing from the Bishop, who dedicated the facility and all who will learn there to the glory of God. |
