Native Americans Visit 2nd Grade |
| During
the second grade's study of Native Americans, Dr. Will Goins -- CEO of
the Eastern Cherokee Southern Iroquois United Tribes of South Carolina
-- visited and shared his extensive knowledge of Native American culture.
Dr. Goins was accompanied by Keith Pounds, Choctaw Tribe storyteller and
author of Native Americans books, Lamar Ironhorse Dryer, a Native American
dancer and Junior Chavis, drums Lumbee Tribe. Their colorful presentation brought to life much of what the children learned in their study of this fascinating culture. |
