Freshman Focus 2004

| College counseling at Heathwood Hall begins in the ninth grade and includes a unique event for the entire freshmen class. This year, the Class of 2007 took sides on April 22th, dividing into four separate, but well-connected college teams. Heathwood’s fourth annual "Freshman Focus Field Day" featured teams representing Columbia College, Elon University, Furman University and University of Notre Dame in a fun and competitive day of active learning. The freshman class spent the day competing in Greek Kickball (a Heathwood favorite), orienteering, tug-of-war, canoe racing and climbing the school’s 50-foot Alpine Tower ropes course. Best of all, the students gained valuable knowledge about four popular college choices as these young people continue their journey toward graduation. The talented Class of 2007 worked and played hard all day, demonstrating the energy and spirit that makes them a very special group! |
