4th Grade Egyptian Day

| HHES fourth graders spent March 4 marking the end of their unit on Ancient Egypt by celebrating Egyptian Day. Students used the information learned over several weeks of study to participate in many activities. They made crooks and flails, mummified their favorite stuffed animals, prepared a lavish snack for fellow Egyptians, made amulets, painted on papyrus, and designed collars to complete their outfits. Among the guests at this unique celebration, fourth graders spotted Egyptian gods Toth, Nut, Ra, and Osirus. A fun -- and educational -- time was had by all. |
