The Heathwood Hall community celebrated the 24th Annual Auction in grand style April 10 and 11 in Columbia. The School's most important annual fundraising event again was divided into two nights: one for families and the other for adults. More than 800 parents and young people attended the first night in the Heathwood Athletic Center, enjoying great food, fun and competitive bidding on a fabulous collection of merchandise -- vacation homes and trips, services and the always popular class projects. The second night, a more formal affair and dinner at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, attracted more than 250 guests and featured exciting bidding in a live auction. Auctioneer Matt Holiday added a new face and level of competition to the evening. Both evenings were wildly successful, helping to raise much needed funds to support Heathwood Hall's programs. Kudos, to hard-working auction chairs Bhavna Vasudeva, Wendy Gaton, Barbara Petit, Heather Powers and Mary Keisler and their dedicated group of fellow volunteers on a job well done!
