Our annual fall service of Convocation brings the entire Heathwood Hall community together in worship. This was our 9th Convocation and it is now a treasured Heathwood Hall tradition that reminds us all of God's presence in our lives This year's Celebration of the Holy Eucharist took place on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in the Athletic Center. The procession began at the Chapel of the Epiphany at 8:30 and the Lower School, Intermediate/Middle School and Upper School joined clergy and staff on the way. Our Celebrant was The Right Reverend Dorsey F. Henderson Jr., Diocesan Bishop of Upper South Carolina. He will retire this year and it was his last Convocation as our Diocesan Bishop. Our new head of School, Charles H. Jones III was the speaker. Our youngest children in the ECLC joined the service at the Offertory. Eleven members of the Episcopal Clergy were also present and helped with the distribution of Communion.
