Fourth Graders Create a Country
As the school year came to a close, fourth grade students put the finishing touches on a six-week project that encompassed each of the skills and concepts they’ve learned over the course of the year.
Create-a-Country, as the project is called, allows students to create an entire nation; considering everything from the country’s landform to its economy, tourism, culture, even its imports and exports.
Leading up to Exhibition Day, where the students bid farewell to the Lower School by showing off their finished products, the nation builders also created topographical maps, a country flag, an entire binder filled with facts, figures and information about their newly-formed nation, and a PowerPoint presentation to pull the entire project together.
