Lacrosse Program Hosts National Champion Clinic
On Sunday, January 29th, the Heathwood Lacrosse program held an exciting, free clinic for all students with special guest Bray Malphrus. Bray was a member of the 2011 University of Virginia national championship team and a defensive starter. With sunny skies and winter temperatures pushing 70 degrees, Coach Fitzgerald and Coach Glick were proud to see close to 60 kids come out for such an exciting event. Bray worked with all the children on basic fundamentals of catching and throwing, along with more intense drills for our middle and upper school players. The clinic ended with a heart-felt speech from Bray challenging the kids always to go after their goals, and never give up. Go Hall!
