Academic Achievement Center
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The purpose of the Academic Achievement Center is to provide the best learning environment that promotes positive student esteem in the individual learner, self-awareness and management, independence and self-advocacy through remediation, enrichment activities and support services.
Goal
Our goal is to help our students build a foundation of learning skills and strategies and to acquire the tools they need to be successful in the educational environment. We view the learning process as a partnership with our students, teachers, and parents. The AAC offers a student-centered atmosphere that encourages the attainment of each individual’s potential through different types of activities and support services. The staff of the AAC consists of a diverse group of teachers and specialists devoted to supporting the superior academic program of Heathwood Hall Episcopal School while meeting the individual needs of students. If you have any questions regarding programs, please feel free to contact Tripp Garick, Director of the AAC at 803-231-7762 or garickt@heathwood.org.
