Afterschool Programs
Welcome to Heathwood Plus!
In order to meet the growing needs of the Heathwood family, Heathwood Plus was formed in 1981. Our purpose continues to be the care and development of your child by providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment. We strive to provide an age appropriate program with varied activities while building self-esteem through positive interactions.
Extracurricular activities are an integral part of any child’s education. We provide students with a rich educational environment that meets the students’ needs and stimulates development intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally. Positive interactions with adults and peers, coupled with structured activities, develop good self esteem for each child and complement Heathwood’s academic program. Before- and after-school times become learning times also. Children enrolled in these programs receive all the benefits of a Heathwood education, plus a great deal more.
- Individual attention
- A high degree of supervision
- A creative, nurturing atmosphere
- Opportunities for self-expression
- Organized physical activities
- Free time for "just plain fun"
These are the hallmarks of the Heathwood Plus! series of programs.
