Health Office
Consult this page for necessary forms and updated information from Heathwood's school nurse, Mrs. Ross Beale.
Medical authorization to treat students
New and returning families should submit an updated Medical Authorization Form to the Health Office whenever there are any additions or changes of information for your student(s). An updated medical form must be completed and submitted with each student's Enrollment Contract each school year.
Permission for students to have medication
It is the policy of Heathwood Hall Episcopal School that any prescription or over-the-counter medications required during school hours must be taken in the Health Office. Please bring any medication to the Health Office with a completed Permission for Medication Form or complete and bring the Request for Non-Prescription Medication Administration at School
When sick children should stay home
Is your child well enough to go to school today? Heathwood has its own school guidelines, but you also need to know that South Carolina state law prohibits children with some infectious and communicable diseases from attending school. For complete information, consult the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control School Exclusion List
Immunizations
State law also mandates specific immunizations for children at certain ages. Copies of current immunization records must be kept for each student enrolled at the school. SC DHEC administers the immunization program statewide in both public and private schools.
