PEAK Curriculum Connections

5 Year-old Kindergarten
Students in full-day Kindergarten meet two times per month for an outdoor education class that brings classroom themes to life as students engage in hands-on learning experiences presented through backcountry and ecological perspectives.

Lower School PEAK
All students in grades one through four now meet formally with PEAK instructors for a 6-week Outdoor Education class. Lower School students play games to learn basic skills and information related to traditional PEAK activities (climbing, paddling, biking, hiking, and environmental education and stewardship). Also, lessons on the pond, the forest, the field, and the river are common during the Lower School Habitat Study in the spring.
