PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES

Adventure or Challenge programs may be designed to meet a variety of needs for scouting groups, church organizations (including youth groups, Sunday School classes, and administrative committees), civic organizations, athletic teams, school groups (including student governments), and many others.

Adventure and Challenge activities and events promote TEAM BUILDING, COMMUNICATION, COOPERATION and TRUST, SPIRIT and MORALE,
and LEADERSHIP qualities.

Adventure and Challenge activities also foster the development of SELF-CONFIDENCE, SELF-RELIANCE, and FITNESS. Programs can be designed to accommodate a broad range of age and physical ability.

All programming is adventure-based and allows participants to engage on a challenge by choice basis. Program design is a collaborative effort between the contracting organization or individual and the staff at PEAK in an effort to ensure that all goals or program outcomes desired by the contracting party are met.

REGISTRATION

An organization must complete and return the following items to PEAK seven days before the scheduled program:

1) Preliminary Program Information form
2) Program Contract

3) Final number of participants

The organization must also provide a Certificate of Insurance naming Heathwood Hall as an additional insured prior to the program.

All participants must complete and sign an Assumption of Risk form. These forms may be completed in advance and returned to the PEAK Outdoor Center prior to the program, or they may be completed prior to beginning the program on the scheduled date. Forms for children under the age of 18 must be signed by a parent or guardian.

FEES

All fees must be received prior to the program. The fee structure is as follows:

2 hour program
$250.00 (base price up to 12 people) + $12.00 for each additional person
4 hour program
$400.00 (base price up to 12 people) + $18.00 for each additional person
6 hour program

$500.00 (base price up to 12 people) + $24.00 for each additional person
8 hour program

$600.00 (base price up to 12 people) + $30.00 for each additional person

Half-day programs are 4 hours in length and generally run from 8am-12noon, or from 1pm-5pm, although programs may be scheduled according to the needs of the contracting party. Full-day programs are 8 hours in length plus an hour-long lunch break. Overnight rates are figured on a program by program basis.
