Challenge
Programs for Professional Organizations
Challenge
activities serve businesses and professional organizations by
providing leadership training and professional development through
immediate experiential opportunity in the areas of Teamwork/Team
building, Problem-solving, Communication, Trust, and Risk-taking.
The staff
at the PEAK Outdoor Center meets with organizational leaders
prior to developing a program to identify the needs of the organization
and to establish goals that may be achieved through a Challenge
program.
After identifying
goals, a program is developed and submitted for review by organizational
leaders. The program includes a list of activities and related
objectives, an itinerary of activities and events, and a brief
explanation of how the program meets the needs of the organization.
Programs
are designed to combine fun, adventure and challenge. Participants
are strongly encouraged to become involved in all activities.
However, individuals have the right to determine their own degree
of involvement throughout the program. An organization must
complete and return to PEAK a Program
contract, and determine the final number of participants
seven days before the scheduled program. The organization must
also provide a Certificate of Insurance naming
Heathwood Hall as an additional insured prior to the program.
All participants must complete and sign an Assumption
of Risk form. These forms may be completed in advance
and returned to the PEAK Outdoor Center prior to the program,
or they may be completed prior to beginning the program on the
scheduled date.
