Eight Highlanders to Compete at the Next Level
Eight members of the Heathwood Hall Class of 2019 have committed to become collegiate athletes next year, joining 15 Heathwood alumni who competed as college or professional athletes in 2018-19.
Five Highlanders will continue their athletic careers as football players: Keshaun Brown (Erskine), Davis Buchanan (University of Pennsylvania), Speers Goodlett (Sewanee), Juwan Hayes (Alabama State), and Reagan Olsen (Presbyterian). The three other college commits are Allie Carter (Beach Volleyball, Erskine), Kendall Couch (Tennis, University of South Carolina), and Alex Cox (Golf, Southern Virginia University).
Heathwood alumni currently playing college or professional sports include Nick Basile, ’18 (Lacrosse, Queens University), Josh Caldwell, ’17 (Basketball, West Point), Flinn Christian, ’18 (Volleyball, University of Lynchburg), Casey Glick, ’15 (Lacrosse, Rhodes College), Mikhyah Grant, ’18 (Football, Newberry College), Brandon Hill, ’16 (Football, Duke University), Savannah Hillmeyer, ’17 (Swimming, University of South Carolina), Gadson Lefft, ’14 (Basketball, University of Delaware), Daniel Lucas, ’18 (Golf, Columbia International University), Brandon McCullough, ’18 (Football, University of Mount Union), Maryah Nasir, ’18 (Track and Cross Country, University of South Carolina), Louise Tester, ’17 (Track & Field, Roanoke College), Rachael Whittaker, ’17 (Track & Field, Winthrop University), and A’ja Wilson, ’14 (Basketball, WNBA Las Vegas Aces).
