Drivers Education & Training

Heathwood Hall is partnering with the National Security Council (NSC) Driver Academy to offer SCDMV Drivers Education and Training. When students can complete this course, they can claim their license from the DMV without any other training needed.

The course in divided into two sections. The first will be hosted on March 25th from 8:30am to 2:30pm in the Robinson Center Lecture Hall. Snacks and pizza lunch will be provided.

The second section puts students behind the wheel with instructors for a total of six hours of driving training. Individual students are paired with instructors for two-hour driving blocks. Each block will be arranged at your family's convenience; instructors are happy to meet students at Heathwood or at their homes. The final two-hour session will entail the SCDMV's official drivers test.

Upon completion of the course, students will receive an official certificate that they may trade in at the DMV for their license. No other steps necessary.

The cost is $375, and attendees must have a permit prior to taking this course. The course is open to students who do not attend Heathwood, and space is limited. Sign up now!
