Heathwood Drama Students Excel at Statewide Festival

Monday, February 26, 2018

Heathwood’s Upper School drama students took home a slew of awards from the 2018 Palmetto Dramatic Association/South Carolina International Thespian Society Festival on February 24.

Out of 20 high schools and over 500 students from all over the state, Heathwood was selected as Chapter Select Alternate, meaning the one-act play performed by the Heathwood ensemble received the second-highest score. The Alternate award also means that if the winning show from Dorman High School cannot attend nationals, Heathwood will be selected to represent South Carolina.
