In partnership with the Gills Creek Watershed Association, eight Heathwood student volunteers along with four adult volunteers collected 18 bags of trash in the Gills Creek area of South Beltline Blvd.on Saturday, August 25.
The clean-up is one of four “Adopt-A-Highway” clean-ups during the 2018-19 school year. It reflects Heathwood's abiding commitment to community service and to partnering with local organizations for the greater good. On average, Heathwood students complete more than 8,000 hours of community service each year.
The next clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, November 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Please contact Heathwood's Community Service Director, Willis Ware, at email@example.com if you would like to volunteer.
