Story to College Program with Dr. Carol Barash

Date:  Sunday, August 24, 2014 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm Event Location:  Dining Commons This is a rare opportunity to attend a free presentation where you can learn more about the college application process from the leading expert in admission essays. Hear Carol Barrash from the New York-based company Story to College speak on the role of the essay in selective college admissions. Dr. Carol Barash has taught her proprietary college essay curriculum to over 10,000 students and 500 educators. An award-winning professor at Princeton, Michigan, and Rutgers, where she served on the admissions committee of Douglass College, Carol founded Story to College and published Write Out Loud (McGraw Hill, 2013) to revolutionize college admissions by teaching students from all backgrounds to write essays that connect. This event is open to parents, students and guidance counselors from the greater Columbia area. Please go to the College Office page on the school website and follow directions for registration.
