Not only is Kelly Turbeville the Associate Director of the PEAK program at Heathwood, but you can find her jumping out of airplanes, yes that's right, SKYDIVING. "After doing my first tandem, I was hooked! I began the program in 2017 and have never looked back. Over the last year I have received my Coach Rating and C-License. This October, I will be heading to Arizona with just over 400 jumps to compete at Nationals for two different events: 4Way FS and 8Way FS."

This summer was the 17th Annual Great Newburgh to Beacon Hudson River Swim. This event raised over $35,000 for improvements for a community river pool. The 20-foot floating pool was originally proposed by folk music legend and River Pool co-founder Pete Seeger. The design of the partially submerged pool is environmentally sensitive with the Hudson River flowing through it.
