Timmerman Scholars Application and Selection

Students interested in applying to the Timmerman Scholars Program must complete the following steps:

1) Complete all steps in the regular application process.  If you are in 6th - 8th grade, please click here for that application process. If you are in 9th - 12th grade, please click here for that application process. Be sure to include test scores and school transcripts reflecting academic eligibility for the Timmerman Scholar’s Program. (If PSAT scores are not available, contact the admission office to schedule testing).

2) Notify Jane Beach, Director of Enrollment Management at 231-7796 or beachj@heathwood.org to indicate your  interest in being considered for the Timmerman Scholars Program.

3) Complete and submit the Supplemental Essays to the admission office and provide the supplemental teacher recommendation form to teacher of your choice.  (Forms available from the admission office.)

Finalists will be invited to return for a group campus visit. During the visit, candidates and their families will engage in a family greeting session. Afterward, finalists will participate in team building exercises, interviews, information sessions and classroom visits.

Timmerman Scholar recipients will be selected by a committee comprised of admission staff, administrators, and teachers.
