The Thought Studio | Heathwood Hall

The Thought Studio is Heathwood’s after-school program for Middle School students. It provides a space for quiet studying as well as a place for safe fun and socialization

Location

The Thought Studio is held under the Nord Building from 3:30 to 5:30, Monday through Friday. A portion of the space will be dedicated to a quiet study hall while other areas will allow for socializing, games, and outdoor play. Students who are not picked up by 5:30 will join Afternoon Express in the Averyt Building where they should be picked up by 6:00 in the Lower School Circle.

Leadership

Two teachers from the AE team lead the study hall and encourage a respectful learning environment. Middle School teachers are encouraged to communicate with the AE team in order to support student learning and growth.

Cost

Beginning at 3:30, families will be charged $12 per hour for their child’s attendance. For families who know they will often use the Thought Studio for more than one hour per day, they may consider signing up for the Academic Year Plan ($3,000 per year). This tuition can be paid annually, semi-annually, or in ten equal monthly installments.
