Blessing of the Animals
You and your pets are warmly invited to join us for our annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 4th at 3 p.m. at the outdoor Chapel of Saint Francis. This cherished tradition honors God’s creation, celebrates the bond we share with our animal companions, and recalls Saint Francis of Assisi’s witness to the goodness of all living things. It is always a lively, joy-filled gathering, and we hope you will join us.
Each pet, whether a dog on a leash, a cat in a carrier, a rabbit, or even a favorite stuffed animal, all are welcome!
For everyone’s enjoyment and safety, please keep in mind:
- Animals must be on a leash, harnessed or in carriers
- Please remain with your pet at all times
- Thank you for cleaning up after your pet
- For the safety of all, please seek permission before approaching another animal
Please spread the word, invite neighbors, and bring your furry, feathered, or scaly friends. In the event of rain, the Blessing of the Animals will be cancelled and not rescheduled.
