Each morning as I travel down the peaceful two-lane road into Heathwood Hall, I am inspired by the surrounding beauty, which prepares me for another exciting day of exploring the wonders of first grade. Every day, my students eagerly examine the tasks set before them and approach learning with an eagerness that makes me both humbled and proud to be their teacher. Heathwood Hall is a place where faith and a love for learning permeate a culture of growth. It is a place where I love to teach. I can not imagine a better environment for my own children, and it is a place that I love to work. I consider it a blessing to be a part of the Heathwood Hall community.

Teaching at Heathwood offers me the flexibility to create lessons that I know will be most beneficial for my students.  I feel genuinely supported and encouraged by the administration to try new things, create unique opportunities, and bring the real world into my classroom.   I love discussing topical news events with my students and relating it to our study of government and citizenship.  I especially love that Heathwood is a place where our classroom conversations continue on into the halls and often to their own dinner tables.
