Weddings Baptisms, and Funerals at Heathwood

Wedding Policy

Congratulations on your engagement! This is a truly exhilarating time, and Heathwood Hall extends its heartfelt well-wishes for your journey ahead. We warmly welcome Christian weddings at the Chapel of the Epiphany. If you belong to Christian traditions other than the Episcopal Church, you can request the use of The Chapel of the Epiphany by contacting Rev. Christopher Johnson at cjohnson2@heathwood.org. Rev. Johnson will assist in securing your wedding date, and kindly include the name of the pastor or officiant who will be conducting the service.

For Episcopal weddings held on campus, the ceremony will adhere to The Order of Marriage as outlined in the Book of Common Prayer. You can have Rev. Christopher Johnson, or another local Episcopal Clergy officiate your service. To secure your chosen date, inquire about the Chapel or campus usage fee, and specify your preferred officiant, kindly email Rev. Johnson. It's important to note that Rev. Christopher Johnson will not be available for mandatory premarital counseling, but he will gladly guide you in finding a suitable counselor or priest to assist you in preparing for marriage.

Baptism Policy

The Episcopal Church views baptism as both a commitment to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and as a warm embrace into the community of believers who will offer support along your journey. While we encourage you to seek baptism at your local Episcopal Parish, we also understand that baptismal traditions among Christians can vary. If you're interested in discussing the possibility of baptism on the Heathwood Hall Campus or at the Chapel of the Epiphany, and if you'd like to know more about the associated fee, please reach out to Rev. Christopher Johnson at cjohnson2@heathwood.org.

Funeral and Memorial Service Policy

We empathize deeply with the challenges of losing a loved one. In this difficult time, families wishing to utilize the Chapel of the Epiphany should directly coordinate with our chaplain. He will provide the necessary pastoral care and guidance as you collaborate to honor the memory of the departed. For all service-related matters at Heathwood Hall, Rev. Christopher Johnson will be your primary point of contact, streamlining communication with the school. He can be contacted at cjohnson2@heathwood.org to discuss your plans and to receive information about the Chapel and/or campus usage fee.
