Driving Academy
Heathwood Hall is partnering with the National Safety Council Southeastern Chapter to offer SCDMV Drivers Education and Training. When students complete this two-part course, they can claim their license from the DMV without any other training needed.
The course is divided into two sections. The first will be hosted on March 23rd from 8:30am to 4:30 p.m. in the Robinson Center Lecture Hall. Snacks and pizza lunch will be provided.
The second section puts students behind the wheel with instructors. Individual students are paired with instructors for three two-hour driving blocks for a total of six hours of driving training. Each block will be arranged at your family's convenience; instructors are happy to meet students at Heathwood or at their homes. The final two-hour session will include the SCDMV's official driver’s test.
The cost is $390, and attendees must have a permit before taking this course. The course is open to students who do not attend Heathwood, and space is limited. Sign up now at www.scnsc.org/heathwood!
