Erin Pope, Director of Development

Erin joined Heathwood Hall in January of 2013. As the Director of Development, Erin works closely with key volunteers to educate the school community about the Annual Fund and promote annual giving to all Heathwood parents, grandparents and alumni. Prior to Heathwood, Erin worked as the Manager of Annual Giving for Lexington Medical Center Foundation. She graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Marketing. Erin enjoys traveling and spending weekends outdoors with her family. She and her husband Will have three daughters – Bonnie  (3rd Grade) and Everette (2ndt Grade) and Sims (EC2s). 

Hillary Westbrook, Development Associate and Events Coordinator

Hillary Westbrook is graduate of High Point University with a Bachelor of Science in Home Furnishings Marketing.  After graduation, Hillary pursued her love for furniture and worked at Furnitureland South to learn more about furniture and the industry in High Point, North Carolina. She enjoyed working there, but was given an opportunity to work in sales for a packaging company in Charlotte. She learned a great deal and gained a lot of experience in the working world for almost two years. Hillary then transitioned to an inside sales job working for a marketing company until she moved her life to Columbia in 2012. She then began working at The Price Group Therapeutic and Educational Planning Services for almost four years and enjoyed being their Intake Specialist/Marketing Coordinator. She is involved with the Junior League of Columbia, enjoys spending time on the coast with her family, and loves her furry, four-legged child Fitz.


Joyell Brown, Database and Gifts Manager

Joyell began at Heathwood in August of 2017 after being a stay at home mom for 11 years.  Prior to becoming a mom, Joyell was a teacher at the Cutler Jewish Day School in Columbia.  She received her BS in Public Affairs from Columbia College and had a successful career as Director of Development and Public Relations in non-profits.  Joyell later returned to Columbia College as she changed careers and pursued her M.Ed in Divergent Learning.  Joyell enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and photography.  She is a mom of three children, Cooper, 10, Lave 9, and Grace 8 and has been married to her husband Eric for 18 years.
